Working with this organization since inspection in 2009, The George Shirley Vocal Competition is an annual competition focusing on preserving African American Vocal Repertoire. The competition, held at The University of Michigan, welcomes vocal talent ages 14-32 and African American composers 18-35. And it offers singers and composers the opportunity to work with and receive feedback from world-renowned judges, including George Shirley (which the competition is named after).
My work with this organization includes, brand management of website, social and content development; project and event management; photography and videography direction, and visual design to publicize events, lectures, fundraisers, concerts, festivals and competitions. I have assembled and managed a team of designers, developers, content strategists, photographers and videographers to create, build and maintain the brands for all of the programming for this organization.
